Repo Agent Stabbed in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX – April 10, 2024 – It was just after midnight when the agent stopped at a light along Interstate 10 on the North Side. Approached by an apparent homeless man, he rolled down his window. Big mistake.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; there are no safe places in the repossession industry.

According to police, the incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday on the southbound I-10 access road near Wurzbach Road. A repossessor employed by 1^st Adjusters of San Antonio, according to company President James Waldren, was waiting at a stop light when a man, who appeared to be homeless, walked up to his truck.

Curious as to what he wanted; he rolled down his window. Without apparent provocation, the homeless man drew a knife and stabbed him in the arm.

The agent then drove to a nearby H-E-B and called for help. He was taken to the hospital and reported to be in stable condition.

Police located and approached the suspect, who… pulled out his knife on them. Officers hit him with their tasers and successfully detained him.

It is currently unknown what charges the suspect will be facing.
