“12th Annual Gathering of the Eagles”
The members of Eagle Group XX held their 12th annual “GATHERING OF THE EAGLES” conference in Dallas Texas, October 14-15. The conference held each year for the members of the “20 Group”, consists of a business meeting, guest speakers, and educational training sessions.
The conference was held at the DFW Hyatt Regency and was well attended with over 35 attendees which included the 20 Group members, guest presenters, and approved guests.
The Eagle Group XX/USA membership has grown, and the current figures are: 20 Eagle Group XX, 2 XX candidates, 1 Tracer, 1 Facilitator, 3 Members Emeritus, 49 Eagle Group USA members and 2 Eagle Group Affiliate Sponsors bringing the total membership to 78.
The Eagle Group USA Referral Network continues to be an important and integral part of the Eagle Group structure and we are currently seeking to expand coverage by securing new USA members in Iowa, Mass, Rhode Island, Tennessee, as well as areas of South Dakota, California, and Canada.
In the upcoming year there will be an increase in Zoom Meetings allowing the USA members to provide input and work and interact with the XX members as well as Zoom training and face to face sessions at the Allied Finance Adjusters Conferences.
The conference started off on Friday night with dinner and continued in the well-attended “Eagles Nest Hospitality Suite” where old acquaintances were renewed, and new friends made. New ideas and concepts were exchanged between members all related to best business practices and an increased bottom line.
After a hearty buffet breakfast and the Annual Business Meeting where 2023 activities were discussed and plans presented on increasing business for the membership the attendees were updated on current insurance trends and how to avoid costly claims in a very educational session presented by a panel of “Insurance Industry Icons”, Ed Marcum and Leon Scroggins, of Recovery Specialist Insurance Group and Mike Peplinski and Renee Low of Harding Brooks Insurance Agency.
The very important “Continuing Education Training Sessions” included a presentation by Tim Koskovics, Eagle Group XX Vice-President of the Eastern Sector on “Increasing Your Bottom Line by Establishing Lateral Markets”, a presentation by Trae Justice “Increasing Your Bottom Line by Utilizing a Paperless Format”, and a safety protocol CE Session, “Recognizing and Avoiding Acts of Violence Against the Recovery Industry/4 First aid items To Save A Life” which will be presented at the Allied Finance Adjusters Mid-Year Conference in Las Vegas next month. The training sessions were followed by guest speakers Jon Armstrong and Oscar Numez who shared information on Insight LPR.
The conference ended in the Grand Hall with the traditional “Banquet of the Eagles” which was attended by the members of Eagle Group XX and their guests.
As the Eagle Group XX enters their 13th year, the members look forward to working with the state units and industry leaders to increase the professionalism of the asset recovery industry.
