Fort Lauderdale, FL – September 21, 2022 – Details are still emerging on the arrest of an unnamed repossessor detained for fatally shooting a borrower during an altercation over a repossession.
The shooting, which occurred at the 100 block of Carolina Avenue, was reported at 10:10am Wednesday morning
When police arrived, they found the unnamed victim dead. The repossessor was detained by police and is reported to be cooperating with the investigation.
Police report that the shooting occurred after the repossessor arrived to repossess a vehicle at a residence. The borrower reportedly confronted the agent and an altercation commenced.

FPD Spokesperson Casey Lieing stated; “What we can tell you preliminary is a tow truck driver shows up to repossess a vehicle, the victim sees him trying to repossess his vehicle, the victim confronts the tow truck driver, some sort of altercation ensued between the victim and the shooter, and that’s when shots were fire,”
Police have made it unclear if charges will be filed at this point.
