Brian “Rome” Marroquin (on far right)Brian “Rome” Marroquin was ready to go home for lunch when his fiancé Lisa and nine-year-old stepson dropped by the headquarters of American Finance in Ocala, Florida to say hello to everyone. So, when he was offered an assignment on the way home, he thought why not bring his stepson. That was the last assignment Brian would ever run and the last anyone would see him alive. Now, his fiancé and their kids are struggling to make sense of all this as well as wondering how to make ends meet.
As reported on May 3rd, it was a freak accident. The tragedy occurred at about 3:30 pm when Brian left his truck for reasons yet known but assumed that he had detected something having gone wrong with the Ford F-350 pickup that he just repossessed and climbed underneath it.
Unfortunately, his tow truck, which he used to refer to as “Baby”was not in park. It then rolled forward striking the man with the towed vehicle and proceeded to drag him almost 30-feet.
It was Brian’s nine-year-old stepson that first called for help from the company office. Allegedly, another witness called 911 and medical personnel soon arrived. Tragically, Brian “Rome” Marroquin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brain was a beloved coworker employed at American Finance of Ocala, Florida owned by Russell Ansell. According to co-worker Cinthia Flanders, the first time she met Brian, he was singing 90’s R&B in the back lot and had the voice of an angel.
He always talked about Lisa and the kids, they were his main focus and motivation. Their anniversary was the weekend after the tragedy and he was planning a special trip to the beach as a surprise.
Brian was the sole provider for Lisa and the children and they need your help to make it through this!
Lisa set up a GoFundMe Page to benefit Lisa and the kids, so please give and give deep. They sorely need your help to get through these heartbreaking times.
Please keep Brian and his family in your prayers, he gave so much to the world.
