Orange car used by shooter impounded
Chester Police report that they have a suspect of interest in the May 3rd shooting of 38-year-old recovery agent and father of four, Jamie King. Police are also reporting that they have impounded the orange vehicle used in the shooting as seen in the video.
The orange car impounded as evidence by police was identified as being from Philadelphia. Police have not stated whether or not the suspect has been arrested or questioned and have not released his name.
Also under investigation is a vehicle from the lot of International Recovery Systems. It can be safely assumed that the impounded repossession under investigation is tied to the suspected shooter.
Jamie King is sedated and remains in critical condition and has since endured multiple surgeries at Crozer-Chester Medical Center where surgeons had to remove the top of his skull in an attempt to reduce swelling.
Nicole King says it’s a miracle her husband is even alive. “Motorcycle loving, tattooed sweetheart,” said Nicole King, who was holding back tears as she described her husband, Jamie to CBS3 in an interview.“Jamie loved his job,” Nicole King said. “He loved it. I mean, he would joke and say, ‘ I get to steal cars for a living. It’s the best job.’”
While the work can be dangerous, Nicole King says she never imagined the news that was to come when she heard a knock on her door early Tuesday morning.
“My heart sunk into my stomach, I knew something was wrong,” she said.
“He absolutely hears my voice and recognizes me. He can take commands. He’ll squeeze your hand if you tell him to, or give a thumbs up, or wiggle his toes,” Nicole King said.
“We’re taking it a day at a time, sometimes a minute at a time,” Nicole King said. “Our lives have literally flipped upside down in the blink of an eye.”
“He’s got a long road ahead. He’s gonna struggle. It’s devastating. He’s one of the hardest-working men I know,” stated his mother-in-law, Lisa Dicola, in a television interview with 6abc earlier in the week.
Friends and colleagues from the repossession and towing industry as well as motorcyclist have been providing support for the King family via a number of rallies and drive’s at the hospital.
To help Jamie and the King family with medical bills and other needs which they will encounter on Jamie’s long road to recovery, a GoFundMe page has been established with a goal of $25,000 in donations that is, as of Sunday, reached $110K. Although their goal has been reached, there is no knowing of what lies ahead for them, so please give generously!
