Meadview, AZ – March 11, 2022 – An unnamed repossession agent was greeted with a shotgun last week. His departure enforced with a volley of gunfire.
On the morning of March 4, just south of Lake Meade on the Arizona side of the Arizona/Nevada border, an unnamed recovery agent arrived at the remote desert residence of 37-year-old James Alexander Porrello.
The adjuster later reported to police that upon arrival, Porrello emerged from the residence armed with a shotgun and threatened to shoot him unless he left the property.
Departing in haste, Porrello the allegedly fired six rifle rounds at him as he fled. Responding deputies found bullet holes in both vehicles, indicating that the agent had recovered the vehicle.
Deputies requested a SWAT backup and officers formed a perimeter around the property. Surrounded, Porrello emerged from the residence and surrendered without incident. In a search of the residence, Detectives found multiple firearms inside.
Porrello was transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility and booked on felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct with a weapon and a misdemeanor charge of criminal damage.
