Nashville, TN – September 28, 2021 – Sometimes justice can be painfully slow, even if you have everything on video. Three months after the fact, Nashville PD have finally arrested a 19-year-old man for threatening to kill staff before ramming his car through the lot and fleeing.
In June of 2021, Nashville police responded to a call from the sales manager of Charlotte Auto Sales who advised police of incidents that occurred at their lot after they repossessed a vehicle belonging to a 19-year-old Demetrice Holmes.
According to police, Holmes had shown up at their lot after his vehicle was repossessed. Irate, he allegedly began banging on the window of an occupied tow truck angrily demanding his car. Receiving no response from the driver, Holmes then grabbed a fire extinguisher and threatened witnesses.
“I’m gonna kill you, where is my car?” he allegedly shouted while holding the fire extinguisher overhead and threatening witnesses.
Holmes managed to spot his vehicle, used his spare key and fired up the engine. Holmes then is reported to rammed the gate with the vehicle and made his escape. A portion of the incident was reportedly caught on video.
Now three months after the event, police have arrested Holmes and charged him with felonious aggravated assault and vandalism. Holmes is reportedly still in the Metro jail and being held under a $20,000 bond.
