Memphis, TN – 5 July 2021 – 27-year-old Jamie Hill staggered into St. Francis Hospital seeking help for a gunshot wound he’d received on Highway 385 on Sunday. Little did he know that he would wake Monday morning in the county jail.
Karma from two separate shooting events on April 24th caught up to Hill.
According to police, a repossession agent was driving a company vehicle through a residential area at Winter Park and Castle Heights looking for a vehicle in the area that was supposed to be repossessed.
According to the agent, he saw a grey Infiniti parked in the 4300 block of Castle Heights that a man, Hill, got into and started to follow him with.
The agent claims that he stopped his vehicle and let the Infiniti go around him. Passing him, it turned around and came back toward him.
According to the report, Hill pointed a handgun at him and fired several shots before speeding away. Neither the agent nor his vehicle was hit.
That same night, a couple who live on Winter Park told police that they heard gunshots outside their home. Going outside, they found two bullet holes in the house.
One bullet was found in the master bedroom and shell casings 100 yards north of the home, records show.
During the investigation, Jamie Hill, was identified as a suspect in a photo lineup. Hill is reportedly the nephew of the homeowner.
Hill was wanted on charges of Employment of a Firearm with intent to Commit a Felony, Attempted First Degree Murder, and Reckless Endangerment. Hill was arrested upon discharge from the hospital.
