Repo Stolen from Lot, Former Employee Suspected

Norristown, PA – 18 December 2018 – On December 12th,at 8:20 pm, a man came into the Norristown police station to report a stolen vehicle. The victim told police he repossessed a 2008 Acura TL in April and parked it in a lot in the 300 block of Elm Street, but he was recently contacted by the car’s former owner, who had received a toll violation.

When the victim checked the lot, the car was gone.

The victim checked the vehicle’s GPS log and found that the vehicle was tracked to various locations since the repossession. The last known location of the vehicle was near the Philadelphia home of a former employee whohad been fired for unauthorized use of company facilities. It was at that location that the GPS unit was removed in October.
