Repo Agent Held at Gunpoint

Benson, NC – 9 July 2018 – A repossessor was held at gunpoint while  attempting to repossess a car.  The incident occurred at about 2:45pm  Thursday, July 5th at the parking lot of a CVS on Highway 210 at McGee’s Crossroads outside of Benson and is now under investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver, reportedly from Benson, was attempting to repossess a car in the parking lot when he backed up his wrecker to the vehicle and placed the car on lift.  According to reports, that is when a woman inside the car began screaming. Shortly after, a man then approached the repossessor and allegedly held him at gunpoint.

The woman then drove the car off the lift and fled the scene.

The repossessor was not physically injured.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2:45pm incident.
