I take offense to the reporter even implying that this was “poetic justice”. This was a violent crime committed by a violent criminal.
Our industry has put up with being victimized for way too long. We need to stand up for ourselves and demand that the police enforce the laws against the illegal actions of the debtors.
( For instance in Florida it is illegal to use deadly force or the threat of deadly force to stop a property crime. So anytime somebody pulls a gun on a recovery agent it is automatically illegal and falls under the 10/20/life laws…… we need to stop being victims and start prosecuting debtors for their actions)
