Chatanooga, TN – 25 June 2018 – Jeez! Can you say “Lawsuit? Some poor lender, a repo company and the Chatanooga PD are in some serious trouble as they are caught on both video phone and body cams assisting in a repossession and dragged a 14 year old from the car when she refused to get out. The sad thing is, the PD seems clueless and has charged the girl for resisting arrest.
A 14 year old girl was dragged out of her mother’s car by Chatanooga Police officers in front of the jail as her mopther was inside visiting her husband, after an unidentified repossessor made contact with her demanding she leave the vehicle.
The department released the body cam video in response to a Facebook post from the girl’s mother from the daughters cell phone that’s been shared more than 4,000 times since her daughter’s arrest nearly 48 hours ago.
While the officers conversations with the girl elude to allegations of her driving the vehicle, the prelude of a repossession attempt brings to question whether or not the police officers were directly engaging in the assistance of the repossession.
