South El Monte, CA \u2013 December 15, 2023 \u2013 All of the staff at Nation\u2019s Recovery Services, Inc. are emotionally devastated by the December 12^{th<\/sup> repossession related murder<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of 46-year-old Blaine LaPrairie. But no one is suffering worse than his brother Ryan who also worked with him. Compounding his loss is his regret that he didn\u2019t take that assignment that fatal night.<\/span><\/p>\n}

Blaine is described as a big-hearted, kind and thoughtful man. Ryan LaPrairie, Blaine\u2019s older brother said; \u201cHe was a very sweet soul and he would do anything for you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
But all of that was not enough to save him from the dangers of the profession that night at the Jasmine Garden Apartment complex in Compton where he was murdered over the repossession of a Honda. A stupid car.<\/span><\/p>\n
Although both Ryan and Blaine were veterans of the job, they were both very aware of the dangers surrounding being a repossession agent.<\/span><\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\nIn a tearful interview with KTLA, Ryan discussed how he and Blaine \u201c\u2026talked about this all the time,\u201d he said.\u201d This was one of the fears he had, to die the way he actually died.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_28134\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-28134\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-28134\" src=\"https:\/\/curepossession.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Ryan_la_prarie_Interview-300x254.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/curepossession.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Ryan_la_prarie_Interview-300x254.jpg 300w, https:\/\/curepossession.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Ryan_la_prarie_Interview.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-28134\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Blaine’s older brother and coworker, Ryan LaPrairie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAccording to Ryan, he and Blaine \u201cworked together side by side for 17 years, in different tow trucks, but we worked the same hours at the same time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nRyan reported that the night that Blaine was killed, he had traveled to Orange County for a repossession assignment while Blaine headed to Compton in South L.A.<\/span><\/p>\nRyan said that he now lives with guilt over not taking the South L.A. assignment that Blaine was killed on that night.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cI can\u2019t believe he\u2019s gone,\u201d Ryan said tearfully in the interview. \u201cI really can\u2019t. And I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m going to do about it. I don\u2019t know how I\u2019m going to get by. Unfortunately, this was not enough to save his life.
