St. George, UT \u2013 March 7, 2023 \u2013 \u201cThe path to hell is paved with good intentions\u201d,<\/em> it\u2019s said. And it is obvious that the repossession agent had good intentions when he let the nineteen-year-old borrower get his personal property out of his repossessed truck. Perhaps if he had known that there were fireworks in the truck, he wouldn\u2019t have been so generous.<\/span><\/p>\n Back on Thursday night on March 2nd<\/sup>, police and fire department personnel responded to a 911 call about a vehicle fire at an apartment complex. On arrival, they found a burning Toyota Tacoma hooked up to a tow truck. The cab of the Toyota was engulfed in smoke and had three windows broken out.<\/span><\/p>\n The unnamed repo agent who had called 911 had reported to dispatch that he had allowed 19-year-old Christopher Jake Macintosh remove his personal property from the vehicle. During his removal of property, fireworks inside the truck cab detonated.<\/span><\/p>\n Fire officials inspection of the cab of the truck found that the burn marks along the interior that were covered with a residue consistent with a firework being detonated inside the vehicle. The cab of the truck was destroyed.<\/span><\/p>\n Police allege that Macintosh detonated the fireworks and fled the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n When officers located and interviewed Macintosh at his residence, he allegedly admitted to having fireworks in the truck, but refused to admit to lighting them.<\/span><\/p>\n Police arrested Macintosh and transported him to Purgatory Correctional Facility where he was booked into jail facing third-degree felony arson.
