Alcoa, TN – September 29, 2025 – With the subject vehicle spotted in the parking lot of a Walmart, the repo agent’s guard perhaps should have been a little higher. It’s just one of those places. By the end of it all, the agent had been attacked and the suspect almost got away with both his van and his truck.

It was just about noon on Thursday the 25th when Jimmy Miller, a Cole’s Recovery-Towing repossession agent found himself driving through the parking lot of a Walmart at 1030 Hunters Crossing Drive. Spotting a white Mercedes van with Wisconsin plates he had been ordered to be repossess, he checked the VIN and quickly went to work.

But before he could completely recover the SUV, the driver, 41-year-old Boubacar Diomande, reportedly climbed into it. Attempting to drive off the back of the repo truck, he caused the van to slide backwards and collide with the truck cab, causing an estimated $2,500 worth of damage.

Frantic and unable to drive away, Diomande reportedly tried to argue his way out of the repossession before making the rash decision to just take both vehicles.

After opening Miller’s driver’s side door, Diomande reportedly “began assaulting” him, striking the Miller “several times” before forcing him to the passenger side. According to reports, Diomande was putting the truck into drive when Blount County Sheriff’s deputies arrived and prevented a getaway.

Police report goes on to state that deputies witnessed, “Diomande in the driver’s seat… striking Miller and the vehicle was starting to move forward.”

Diomande was reportedly removed and “detained” to await Alcoa Police officers’ arrival.

During a search following his arrest, APD officers reportedly found “a glass pipe and approximately 7.4 grams of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana” within Diomande’s van.

Officers charged Diomande with carjacking, vandalism, assault, simple possession/casual exchange of marijuana and use/possession of paraphernalia, and seized the supposed drugs and drug paraphernalia for disposal.

On a happier note, Miller, successfully repossessed Diomande’s van.
