The First “Grand Gathering of the Eagles”

The members of Eagle Group XX held their first “Gathering of the Eagles” in 2011 at the DFW Hyatt Regency Hotel located at the DFW Airport and it was an unprecedented event.

It all started on Friday afternoon as the Eagles flew in from around the United States and gathered in a Hospitality Suite hosted by their founders, Millard Land, Ron Brown, and Rusty Ansell.

The conversations related to compliance demands, forwarders, clients good and bad, abounded as well as family and employee updates concluding around midnight.

The general meeting started the next morning at 7:00 AM with an hour-long buffet breakfast where again numerous topics were discussed over coffee, eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins, and fruit in a very casual and relaxing atmosphere.

At 8:00 AM the meeting was called to order and the day filled with “money making best ideas, insurance updates, trade organization updates, compliance training, and industry related guest speakers, interrupted only by a working lunch, the meeting concluded with a 5-year Strategic Planning Session, but the day was far from over.

The first “Banquet of the Eagles” was held from 6:30 to 8:30 in a private dining room and again many adventures and ideas were exchanged by members and commitments were made from each member to assist any member with, “ANYTHING, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE… PROFESSIONALLY”.

Fast forward to 2023, 13 years later, twelve “Gathering of the Eagles” later, all held at the DFW Hyatt Regency in Dallas. During those past twelve years Eagle Group XX has risen to a position of respect in the asset recovery industry developing industry accepted training programs such as FACT, SECT, and SACAT and providing them to all members of the industry at no cost. Working closely with the CFPB Eagle Group XX developed an unequaled 600 plus page Policy and Procedures Manual. 12 years of attending lending industry trade conferences to develop and nurture good clients, 12 years of doing many things to increase the professionalism of the recovery industry.

Today the members of Eagle Group XX are proud to announce that they have united with the prestigious insurance firm of Harding Brooks and Mike Peplinski to engage in a new, unprecedented and noble venture…

“THE FIRST “GRAND GATHERING of the EAGLES 2023”

The 2023 “Grand Gathering of the Eagles” is the concept of one of the best friends the asset recovery industry has, an innovator extraordinaire who has gone out of his way, treaded unknown territories, and often time worked magic to see that members of our industry were able to obtain insurance coverage, Mike Peplinski.

Mike Peplinski, who has attended and participated in numerous Eagle Group XX Conferences, envisioned a gathering not limited to just the 20 group members but rather a conference where all members of the Eagle Group XX and the Eagle Group USA Referral Network could meet, exchange ideas and benefit from face-to-face contact.

Obviously, a gathering such as this would far exceed the previous years budget and the cost was far beyond what the Eagle Group could spend so the concept was tabled, Mike then, persistent in seeing his concept brought to reality, stepped up and offered to cover all costs. “The First Grand Gathering of the Eagles” became a reality.

The “GRAND GATHERING OF THE EAGLES” to be held on October 28, 2023, will be the first time that the members of Eagle Group XX and Eagle Group USA will meet as ONE!

All members of the group are invited to the all-day event filled with Compliance, Best Idea Sharing, Industry Updates, Guest Presenters, and Fellowship.

One of the prime functions of our group is the interaction among the members and nothing compares to Face-to-face meetings.
