Suspect Wanted in Assault on Repo Man

Farmington, NM – July 19, 2016 – Police issued a warrant Monday for a 43-year-old man on allegations he attempted to run over a repossession agent with his vehicle.

Andrew Davis was charged in Aztec Magistrate Court with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $5,000, according to court records.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office received reports at 12:18 p.m. Sunday that Davis had attempted to strike Dominic Good with his vehicle in Flora Vista, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Good, an employee of PNR Services, told a deputy he attempted to repossess Davis’ 2010 white Jeep Commander earlier in the day near San Juan College, but Davis instead fled the scene in the vehicle, the affidavit states.

Good said he pursued the vehicle through Farmington toward Flora Vista, according to the affidavit. He eventually confronted Davis again in the parking lot of the Circle K gas station at 819 N.M. Highway 516.

Good said he attempted to stop Davis from fleeing the scene by standing in front of his vehicle, the affidavit states. Good told the deputy Davis again fled, and Good was struck by the vehicle when he attempted to jump out of its path.

Davis is described in the affidavit as a Native American male, who is 5-foot-6 and 230 pounds.
