State Repossession Associations Unite for Maui
Your Help is Needed!
August 30, 2023 – We are all saddened by the tragic wildfires that devastated the Hawaiian Island of Maui last week, leaving more than 100 dead and over a 1000 still missing. According to officials on the ground, property damage is estimated to be over a billion dollars which has left many people without shelter, food, water, and necessary supplies. The devastation is unimaginable, and can be seen on the video below, or by clicking this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94kIfNmh7xE .
In addition, Kelly McGivern, Chief Compliance Officer of Equitable Services, and a member of the Alliance of Illinois (AIR) also has a team member who is a resident of Maui and has offered to receive and distribute supplies.
Sal has offered to open a UPS commercial account which will provide a large discount on shipping costs. American Recovery Association (ARA), Allied Finance Adjusters (AFA), and Harding Brooks Insurance.
have volunteered to contribute to the cost of shipping these donations.
We are asking that you help in the following ways:
- Prepare donations for shipping!
- Request items from employees, family, and friends.
- Hygiene products, baby formula diapers, survival items.
- Clean Summer/Spring clothing sorted by Men/Women/Kids/Babies in different plastic bags for quick and easy distribution to those in need.
- Email to your State Association President:
- Subject: Maui Label
- Body of Email
- # of boxes
- L x W x H
- Weight of each box
- You will be emailed UPS labels to place on each box. For this to be flawless
- Weight and dimensions need to be exact.
- Be mindful of adhering the correct label and box.
Additionally, donations will also be received and distributed by:
Equitable Services
4 Mauli Ola St
Wailuku, HI 96793
Attn: Cal Ahloy
There is no discount set up to ship to this location, so anyone wishing to ship items to Equitable Services can do so using the carrier of their choice.
Please note, this organized effort will run through Friday September 14th, 2023.
On behalf of the State Repossession Associations, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Salvatore Lodico, Kelly McGivern, Allied Finance Adjusters (AFA), American Recovery Association (ARA), and Harding Brooks Insurance.
We would like to convey our deepest sympathies to the Maui communities. We hope our efforts bring some comfort, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
