A Memphis Repossessor is lucky to be alive. Laying down under a car trying to put the tow winch hooks on as the borrower jumped into, his head and arm were run over. Fortunately, he survived and, it was all caught on video.
The incident occurred just before 8 am last Wednesday at the University Gardens Manor Apartments in North Memphis. Police responding to a 911 call arrived to find an unnamed repossessor working for an unnamed company injured and with a tale to tell.

The man reported that when he arrived at the apartment complex to repossess the 2011 Ford Focus, he simply lowered the ramp and backed into it. Pulling out the winch cable to hook it up to the flatbed, he laid down behind the front tire of the car to hook it up.

At the same time, the alleged borrower can be seen jumping past him and leaping into the driver’s seat. Starting it, he can be seen backing over the head of the nameless repossessor.
The driver does not even get out of the car. He continues trying to maneuver his way out of the parking spot until driving away.
Nearby, we can see a woman standing near the vehicle. The repossessor claims that while he was under the car, he heard the female yell, “Hurry up!” When police finally arrived, the woman was nowhere to be found
Officers reported that the victim had abrasions on his head, a large black mark on the front of his sweatshirt, and complained of arm pain.
They also reported that the victim was having trouble staying awake before he was transported to the Regional One Medical Center, but he is expected to be okay.
Another woman at the apartment complex claimed to police that she sold the suspect the Ford Focus, but he was not making payments, so she contacted the victim to come repossess the car.
Police are still looking for the driver of the Ford Focus, who is facing a charge of aggravated assault.
