Las Colinas, TX – March 27, 2012 – For those of you that weren’t present at this years North American Repossessors Summit (NARS), you missed the most direct and open dialogue about industry about merger and industry unification ever, and believe it or not, there was complete agreement. And the conclusions might surprise you.
Last week I posed the question on several blogs, “How does the Repossession Industry plan to account for itself to the CFPB–Would we just stand on the podium and shake our finger at the Forwarders or would we provide analytics to support our claims”. The only response I received was “Good Question”.
The concept of gathering analytics to support our hypothesis that Forwarders and White Trash TV are responsible for the increased violence in our Industry will not be solved by grandstanding on the podium. Solving the problem will require the cooperation of Insurance carriers and trade groups. Some may fear that the results may not support our hypothesis, but then as FDR stated in our entrance to WWII ” All we have to fear is fear itself”. What is important at this juncture in time is that we begin to cooperate amongst ourselves. True transparency comes from providing “just the facts” and not a fuzzy software portal “Forwarder”.
