Repo Attempt Leads to Charges of Terrorist Threats and Assault

Milton, PA – 10 January 2019 – A Milton area man fired a shotgun and pointed it at two men trying to repossess an ATV last week, state police said.

Trooper Nathan Wenzel charged David Beachel, 52, with two counts of terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and simple assault from the incident Jan. 2 at Strick Road.

Troopers arrived at the home after Kevin Johnston, 37, and Jacob Tyson, 35, both of Millersburg, reported being threatened. The two work for Commonwealth Recovery Group.

While the men were at the home, Beachel left armed with a Mossberg 20-gauge shotgun and fired off one round, according to the charges.

He then pointed the gun at the men, told them to leave the property and verbally threatened them, police said. Johnston and Tyson left. Beachel fled before troopers arrived.

Troopers were able to make contact with Beachel at his home.
