SWAT Standoff Ends in Arrest – See Video
Huntington Beach, CA – December 19, 2025 – Details are thin, but the video is clear. According to a fresh video from Key News Network (KNN), an unnamed repossession agent was shot while attempting a boat repossession last night. According to posts on Instagram, the agent was shot in the face.
According to the Huntington Beach, the shooting occurred at 3:30 pm on Thursday at a residence in the 5700 block of Edinger Ave. Upon arrival, patrol officers located the adult male victim with significant injuries. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The shooting suspect, named as 49-year old Zachary Romanak, surrendered after a 6-hour standoff.
The condition of the agent is unknown, but one comment on Facebook from a neighbor claimed that the bullet only grazed his face. Another comment from a neighbor on Reddit stated that the agent was killed. We will update this post as details emerge.

(KNN) — Huntington Beach police officers and fire department units responded to a SWAT situation at a home on Edinger Avenue Thursday evening. Reports indicate that a man living at a nearby residence pulled a gun on an individual attempting to repossess his boat, which had been parked illegally in an alleyway, and shot the tow truck driver.
The suspect reportedly barricaded himself inside the home for several hours. Officers secured the area and requested SWAT assistance while deploying multiple drones to monitor the scene. Fire crews staged nearby. The tow truck driver was taken to a hospital, and the individual’s condition is unknown. The incident remains under investigation.
