Shooter and Agency Identified – More Details Made Available
Horn Lake, MS – June 9, 2025 – Horn Lake Police have released additional details on the Sunday afternoon shooting of a repo agent critically injured. Included is the name of the agency whose employee was shot. The name and image of the alleged shooter has also been provided. A manhunt is underway.

It was previously reported that the incident occurred just around 5pm on Sunday. That is incorrect and was based upon news articles. The actual shooter occurred on Sunday at 4:45 pm.
Police now report that an agent employed by All Star Recovery was attempting a repossession outside of a restaurant in a strip mall on Interstate Boulevard when the shooting occurred. According to police, 26-year-old Marshun Colbert of Memphis, seeing the repossession occurring, argued with the still unnamed agent before opening fire on him, reportedly hitting him once.
At that time, an unnamed woman had already jumped behind the wheel of the SUV which was lifted. The wounded agent fled the scene. During this moment, the SUV fell from the wrecker, landing on its side.
The unnamed woman was reportedly injured. She was transported to a hospital and was later discharged in stable condition.
The agent, who had driven himself to a hospital and soon transported to Regional One in Memphis is reported to still be in critical condition, but stable.
Colbert is wanted for aggravated assault, and police say he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Police are urging anyone who knows where Colbert may be to call the Horn Lake Police Department at 662-393-6174.
