Reynoldsville, PA – 4 November 2019 – A man is behind bars after police say he fired a gun at a man repossessing his truck Halloween morning. According to Reynoldsville police, a man working with a towing company arrived at a Grant Street residence Halloween morning. Police say the tow truck operator located a Ford F-150 in front of the residence that matched a VIN number that was supposed to be repossessed.
Police say the operator hooked up the truck and began to drive away when a woman ran out of the house after the truck followed by a man waiving a handgun.
The man, later identified as 29-year-old Brandon Huffman, fired at least one shot in an unknown direction while the driver pulled away, according to a criminal complaint.
Police arrived at the residence and questioned both the woman and Huffman. The woman told police that she and Huffman were inside when they saw the tow truck in front of the residence. According to the complaint, the woman says she immediately ran outside after the truck because there was a car seat inside. She also claims Huffman ran upstairs before following her outside, waiving a gun in the air.
The complaint says the woman told him to put the gun away, but he continued to fire a round in an unknown direction.
Police say they found one spent casing in the area where witnesses say they saw Huffman firing the handgun.
Huffman was arrested and charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Court documents show he is being held at the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
