Gulf County, FL – August 17, 2025 – Police responded to the first repo attempt and the agent and borrower went their separate ways. Less than two hours later, police caught up to them again at a mini-mart. This time she had a knife and this time, police opened fire.
On Friday August 15th, the Port St. Joe Police Department responded to a call at around 3:42 pm regarding a repossession agent attempting to repossess a vehicle that had fled a scene after a hit and run crash.
Police identified and located the vehicle as a white Ford Fusion with an expired temporary tag belonging to Tikila Walker, in North Port St. Joe. Responding officer, Sgt. Sherrell Morrison, spoke with Walker and the repossessor and de-escalated the situation and sent everyone their own way assuming things had been resolved.

But then, at about 5:52pm, officers were to a Sunstop convenience store in Highland View in reference to a hit-and-run involving Walker’s vehicle, which was now reportedly being blocked by a repossessor’s tow truck.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Walker seated in the in the driver’s seat of the Ford armed with a 16-inch filet-style knife with a silver blade and refusing to drop the weapon.
According to authorities, over several minutes, many attempts were made to de-escalate the situation before they took additional measures. When a Gulf County Sheriff’s Deputy and Officer Allan Edwards arrived on scene to help, the deputy broke the car window to deploy a taser.

The taser was deployed on Walker a reported seven times with no visual effect, with Walker taking swings at them with the knife.
Walker then charged from the vehicle toward Sgt. Morrison with the knife in hand and raised to harm. According to the PSJPD, Sgt. Morrison discharged his firearm twice, and Officer Lee discharged once.
Police report that Walker was shot once in her upper arm and once in the pelvic area.
Officials report that officers then disarmed and gave life-saving medical aid to Walker until EMS arrived and took her away for treatment.

Gulf County EMS took Walker to the Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital. By Monday morning, when Walker was slated to be interviewed by FDLE, and that she had already been discharged from the hospital.
Authorities report that the full video footage will be released. This is an active investigation; more information will be provided.
