For the 11th year the DFW Hyatt Regency, located at DFW Airport in Dallas Texas, will host the annual fall “GATHERING OF THE EAGLES” October 8th and 9th, 2021. This traditional event consists of a Friday night reception and then a full day of member networking with “Best Ideas”, marketing strategies for 2022, Recovery Industry issue discussions and an accelerated Compliance Training Program.
The Saturday program will begin at 8:00 with a buffet breakfast which will be followed by the annual business meeting. After a catered lunch there will be guest speakers addressing vital issues facing the recovery industry in 2022. This year’s speakers include David Cowlbeck of Loss Prevention Services who will address “Is There Any Way To Make Money Working for a Forwarder”, followed by a panel of subject matter industry insurance experts consisting of Ed Marcum and Leon Scroggins of Recovery Specialists Insurance Group and Mike Peplinski of Harding Brooks Insurance Agency who will answer questions related to the rising costs of insurance and how to reduce premiums by reducing losses. Also Wade Argo, current President of Allied Finance Adjusters, a trade association dedicated to increasing the professionalism and profits of its members, will advise the group on the value, benefits, advantages, and importance of being a member of a “National Trade Association”.
A very important item to be discussed at this year’s meeting will be the national industry wide distribution strategy of the newly completed ANNUAL REGULATORY COMPLIANCE (ARC) training modules. This EAGLE GROUP XX project has just been completed and consists of 12 training modules related to compliance policies and procedures for SCRA, ADA, FDCPA, UDAAP, WISP, TCPA, OSHA, EHS, Breach of Peace, Consumer Complaint Tracking & Response, Protecting Consumer Data, and Avoiding a Wrongful Repossession. These modules will be available and administered on an annual basis with updates and testing for all members of Eagle Group XX and Eagle Group USA and their employees.
Also on the agenda will be the discussion of the updates based on recent court rulings of the Eagle Group XX Field Agent Compliance Training (FACT), Support Employee Compliance Training (SECT) and the very important Situational Awareness and Confrontational Avoidance Techniques (SACAT) training modules which the members of Eagle Group, to increase professionalism in the recovery industry have been made available to all recovery agency employees, internationally, at no cost.
Also on the discussion list will be the combined meeting of Eagle Group XX and Eagle Group USA. This first time event took place last month in Las Vegas with members coming from as far away as Hawaii, at the RSIG/AFA REPO 2021 Conference and Expo where many ideas were exchanged, old acquaintances renewed, and new friends made.
This year’s 11th annual “GATHERING OF THE EAGLES” promises to be, as Facilitator Ron Brown so eloquently puts it, “Educational, Enlightening and Entertaining.
