Shooter’s car had just been repossessed
Chester, PA – May 20, 2022 – Police have identified the suspect in the May 3rd shooting of International Recovery Services (IRS) adjuster Jamie King. The suspect has been positively identified by several witnesses as well as surveillance video. A search of the suspect’s vehicle, which King had just repossessed and secured on the lot, uncovered large quantities of cocaine, heroin, and Fentanyl. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
The shooting suspect is reported to be, 24-year-old Jabril Ali. According to police, Jamie King had just recovered Ali’s Nissan Altima and secured it on the lot and was waiting outside the gate when Ali arrived with an unknown driver in an orange car. Ali emerged from the vehicle and there was a reported brief exchange of words before Ali opened fire.
Jamie tried to flee in the truck, but wounded, crashed it into a neighboring building.
As part of the investigation, police seized the Nissan and conducted a search of it. Inside were found belongings identified to be those of Ali in addition to a “large amount” of cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl. The orange car was later located and seized.
Ali is considered armed and dangerous and is known to frequent the South Philadelphia area, police said. He is 5’9″ tall and weighs 200 pounds. Ali is charged with attempted murder, robbery, weapons violations, and drug sales.
Jamie King, beloved father, husband and coworker to the IRS staff, remains hospitalized suffering gunshot wounds to the stomach, chest and head. His road to recovery is expected to be a long one and the injuries could be disabling.
Ali is considered armed and dangerous and not to be approached by non-law enforcement personnel. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or contact Detective Rhaheem Blanden at 610-447-8420.

Jamie has been moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation center where his long road to recovery is beggining.
