PRESS RELEASE
The Georgia Association of Licensed Repossessors (GALR) wants to make our support known in its decision to back the Alliance of Illinois Repossessors (AIR) in their most recent “NO FREE STORAGE” campaign.
The GALR board and members have used the AIR formula, in which they calculated the cost of storage per vehicle for our region. This in[1]depth calculation of expenses shows what a single parking spot costs to maintain, and how much revenue can be lost the longer a unit sits in that spot.
This result requires the immediate attention of all lenders to provide the needed support to sustain our portion of the ecosystem that recovery professionals provide to lending institutions. Without proper compensation, a bottle neck of workflow is on the horizon. We must address this issue today, for tomorrow will come too soon.
If you are a member of GALR and did not attend our monthly Zoom meeting where this cost formula was reviewed or, you simply wish to receive this educational offering, please email: office@galr.org We would like to have all Georgia agents know this number and be able to present it as a true representation of our regional data when we present this to the lenders and forwarders in the upcoming month. (To protect your privacy, no agency names will be released).
Remember to join us on our monthly zoom call this Wednesday 2/15/23 at 3pm.
