Ellicott, NY – November 20, 2025 – What began as a routine repossession spiraled into chaos in seconds when a repossessor suddenly found himself fighting for his life against a furious couple armed with a car, a large knife, and zero regard for the law.
It was broad daylight at around 10:00 am on November 12th when officers from the Ellicott Police Department responded to a frantic call: a man and a woman were actively assaulting a repossession agent.
Police soon discovered that during the process of a repossession attempt, an agent was allegedly assaulted by a woman, Samantha Harley, 31, and Kody Scott, 19. It was reported that as the agent was attempting to recover the collateral, Harley attempted to run down the agent with a different vehicle before Scott drew a large knife and brandished it at the same agent.
Officers conducted a search for the duo and soon located them. Lo and behold, officers reported that both were found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Both were placed under arrest and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
Harley was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, Harassment in the 2nd Degree, 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, 3 counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree.
Scott was charged with Menacing in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
Both were will be due to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
