A Man, A Woman, Two Children and a Dog Were Still Inside During the Attempt
Woodbridge, VA – 26 July 2019 – Repossessions are obviously risky, but when non-professionals attempt them, they can be litigious and outright criminal as illustrated in a recent repossession attempt by a tow company employee in Woodbridge, Virginia that got ugly right out of the gates as a tow truck driver attempted to repossess a vehicle with a family still inside of it.
On July 18th, Mohaned Zyoud an employee of A&A Towing in Woodbridge, was arrest on charges of assault and battery, attempted malicious wounding, and misdemeanor hit-and-run after claims that he punched a car’s owner in the face and tried to tow away a car still occupied by a woman, two children, and their dog.
The owner of the car, Shadeed Williams, who police say was inside a dealership, Koons Automotive Group, at the time, saw what was happening and ran to stand in front of the truck to stop Zyoud from driving away.
During the altercation, Zyoud, allegedly struck the car owner with his tow truck before escalating the situation. When the car’s owner approached to confront Zyoud, opening the truck door he punched the owner in the face.
According to Prince William County Police, Zyoud unhooked the car from the tow truck and quickly fled the scene. Shortly after, police caught up with Zyoud and placed him under arrest.
While no serious injuries were reported, Zyoud faces multiple charges and was being held on $20,000 bail pending a September 19 hearing.
Koons Automotive Group, was unrelated to the repossession attempt.
