DUI, Drugs, and a Damaged Tow Truck
Pikeville, KY – May 14, 2025 – When a Beaver man came out to find his car being repossessed at the gas station by the Walmart, his primal instincts kicked in. Gnawing his way from the claws of the tow truck, He made his mad dash to freedom. But forgetting to pump the gas, it didn’t end well.
It started at a gas station in front of the Walmart. It’s always a Walmart, isn’t it? A surprise repossession attempt at a gas station turned into a frantic fight to flee as Chad Edward Conn, 36, of Beaver, allegedly leapt into his car and fled as it was being lifted onto a tow truck at the pumps.

Allegedly backing into the tow truck and causing damage as he made his escape, he must have forgotten to pump the gas.
Soon after, police found him pushing the stalled vehicle down a road with a female passenger steering. Conn’s troubles got worse when he failed a sobriety test and some methamphetamine was discovered in the back seat of the car.
Conn was arrested and charged with DUI, fleeing the scene of an accident, wanton endangerment, and additional offenses.
