ARA is pleased to share that we have been in productive discussions with the Bridgecrest management team regarding the handling of impounded vehicles. As a result of these conversations, we have learned that Bridgecrest’s stance is that when a vehicle is assigned to a repossession agent and is identified as being in impound, the assignment will be reclassified as an impound. However, the original repossession agency will retain the assignment and be compensated at the full repossession rate.
ARA views this development as a positive step forward in our ongoing collaboration. While we believe there is still room for further progress on this matter, this agreement represents a meaningful example of effective partnership and problem-solving. It is the model of cooperation we hope others in the industry will follow.
With sincere appreciation,
The ARA Board of Directors
