Agent Reported to Have Suffered Life Threatening Injuries
Jackson, MS – August 1, 2025 – Details are thin, but there are reports of a repossession agent being shot multiple times in Jackson, Mississippi. While not conclusive, the injured agent may have been a camera car driver.

According to Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), the shooting occurred in the area of TV Road and Gertrude Drive at around 10:30 pm on Thursday July 31st when a repossession agent was in the process of looking for a vehicle when one or more gunmen, opened fire.

It is reported that he was struck multiple times and transported to a local hospital for treatment to what was reported as life threatening injuries.

At this time, police have not named the injured agent or suspect. If anyone know the identity of the injured agent, please reach out to us.
Video of the crime scene taken by WJTV show a vehicle assumed to have been involved in the incident which is not a tow truck. On the trunk of the vehicle are some dark objects that may be LPR cameras indicating that this may have been a camera car driver injured.
Jacksonville, Mississippi is no stranger to violence. According to WLBT news, Jacksonville, a city with a population of only 141,000 persons has held the infamous title as the per capita murder capital of the US for four years straight with 111 in 2024 alone.
