Marshun Colbert turned himself in Thursday and was taken into custody on his outstanding warrant for aggravated assault, Horn Lake PD said in a post to their Facebook page.

Colbert, 26, who hails from Memphis, was taken into custody on his outstanding warrant for the alleged shooting of All Star Recovery agent Joe Yancy, a father and husband who was shot point blank on June 8th while conducting a repossession at a strip mall in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Yancy was shot in the abdomen and his spleen and pancreas as well as other organs were damaged. He remains in a medically induced coma as doctors attempt to stabilize his condition.
The repossession related shooting occurred on Sunday June 8th at about 4:45 pm outside of a restaurant in a strip mall on Interstate Boulevard. It was there that Yancy attempted to repossess a black SUV when according to police, 26-year-old Marshun Colbert of Memphis, seeing the repossession in process, reportedly argued with Yancy before opening fire on him at point blank range.
Some reports claim that Yancy had actually agreed to drop the vehicle before Colbert opened fire.
At the same time, an unnamed woman had jumped behind the wheel of the SUV which was lifted. Shot, Yancy fled the scene causing the SUV to fall from the wrecker and land on its side.
The unnamed woman was reportedly injured. She was transported to a hospital and was later discharged in stable condition. Her relationship to Colbert is unknown.

On Thursday, it was discovered by a fundraiser initiated by the RABF, that Yancy was in a medically induced coma.
