Last week, Scott Jackson penned a rebuttal to the Alliance of Illinois Repossessors editorial “Attention Lenders – Contingency Doesn’t Work.” In Scott’s editorial, titled “Be careful what you wish for“, he discusses a proposal that he’d overheard two large national lenders discussing that proposes a complete halt to assigning repossessions and how they could remain profitable. Insane as it sounds, you owe it to yourself to listen it out.

I know this sounds impossible. But after two plus years of watching the world go ape$hit crazy and woke, we owe it to ourselves to be open minded to all possibilities of insanity.

That said, I will be presenting a shallow dive into the problems with this strategy from a banker’s POV on Monday.

As I’ve said, it’s a crazy idea. But after two years of wokeness, Covid, lockdowns and everything else, what can we say isn’t possible anymore?
