Electra, TX – 16 June 2019 – The Electra Police Department arrested a man accused of repossessing his already repossessed car.
Rex Cameron Maylor, 52, was arrested and charged for allegedly removing a repossessed vehicle from a bank.
According to the affidavit;
Shortly before 1 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2019, someone from Waggoner National Bank called the Electra Police Department to report a repossessed vehicle missing.
The reporting party said he arrived at work to find the repossessed vehicle missing.
He added that he received a text message from the suspect saying that he had removed the vehicle from the parking lot. The reporting party then said he told the suspect that he needed to return the vehicle, to which the suspect agreed.
The next morning, the bank employee called the Electra Police Department to report the vehicle as still missing.
The bank employee provided police with a copy of multiple messages between him and the suspect that corroborated the report given by the caller.
Maylor was arrested and charged with hindering secured creditor over $2,500, under $30,000
